Versatile Eiffel Wind Tunnel by Baltic Windtunnel – segmented design for easy shipping – with a large, easily accessible test section, silencer, and traverse

  • Measurements at speeds of up to 36 m/s
  • High contraction ratio of 9
  • Large, well-visible test section
  • Exhaust silencer
  • Movable design
  • Traverse

The WT342(d) offers a cost-effective option for installing a wind tunnel with a spacious test section in a laboratory environment. It is delivered in individual segments (on rollers and including an assembly plan), eliminating the need for on-site assembly by our engineers.

To suppress turbulence, the wind tunnel features a honeycomb straightener within a honeycomb cassette, followed by three screens. These are accessible through inspection hatches for cleaning.
The nozzle, with a contraction ratio of 9, accelerates the flow in the 400 x 400 x 2000 mm test section to speeds of up to 36 m/s (130 km/h).

The sophisticated design of the diffuser ensures separation-free guidance of the flow to the vibration-isolated axial fan in the shortest possible installation space.

To reduce noise emissions, an absorption silencer is installed downstream of the fan. At the customer’s request, a single-axis traverse has been integrated into the roof window of the test section in the WT342(d).

The system is controlled using a potentiometer or, for an additional charge, centrally using the proven wind tunnel control BWT-Control, conveniently via touch panel. A wind tunnel scale is also available as an option.
